Riko AI: AI Analysis Software That Sits Above Tally
Riko AI does not replace Tally; it reads it. Built in Mumbai by NXTLVL Tech Solutions, Riko syncs a business's Tally books and turns them into answers, reports, MIS packs and drafted actions, on the web, on mobile and on WhatsApp. Its own description: "reads everything, writes only what you approve."[1][4]
How it works
How Riko AI connects to Tally
Riko is not accounting software. The books stay in TallyPrime or Tally ERP 9; Riko adds an analysis and action layer on top, connected through a small Windows program on the PC where Tally runs.[3]
Tally on the office PC
TallyPrime (all versions) or ERP 9 release 6.0+, every company on the licence. Unchanged; still the book of record.
Riko Tally Sync → Riko
75 MB Windows connector, outbound HTTPS only. Syncs every five minutes to Riko, hosted in Mumbai. Two years of history load on first connect.
Web, Android, iOS, WhatsApp
Questions, reports, MIS packs, reminders and dashboards for the owner, accountant and team.
What it syncs
Sales and purchase invoices with line items, credit and debit notes, party masters with GSTINs and credit limits, the full chart of accounts, stock items and godowns, all voucher types, and GST data including HSN/SAC codes and ITC state.[3]
When the Tally PC is off
Nothing new syncs, but data already synced stays available in the app, on mobile and on WhatsApp, and the sync catches up when the machine is back on.[2]
Why it was built
"The number is in Tally. You just can't get to it when you need it."
Riko AI, on its About page[4]
Riko's founding story starts with a gap it says every Indian business owner knows: the answers they need, such as who owes money, which products make money and whether next month's payroll is safe, are inside Tally, but getting them out means waiting for the accountant.[4]
The first version answered questions about the books in plain language. Riko says owners then asked for the work itself, such as the MIS pack, the GST reconciliation and the payment chasing, so the product grew into running "workpacks" that end in a finished file.[4]
Its stated mission is to give every Indian business owner "the finance clarity of a Fortune 500 CFO — in their own language, in their own pocket."[4]
Capabilities
What Riko AI does with Tally data
As listed on Riko's website and pricing page. Availability varies by plan.[1][2]
Chat with your books
Questions about the Tally data in English, Hindi or Hinglish, on the web, the mobile apps or WhatsApp. On WhatsApp it can return sales, receivables, cash and bank balances, GST bifurcation, P&L, TDS, ledger statements and invoice PDFs.
25+ reports
P&L, balance sheet, trial balance, ageing, day book, tax ledgers, top customers and products, reshaped by asking for a different period, column or grouping, then downloaded or saved as a view.
Workpacks
Jobs such as a monthly MIS pack that Riko runs end to end: it reads the books, builds the workpaper, asks about anything ambiguous and delivers an XLSX, DOCX or PDF.
Push to Tally with AI OCR
A bill photo or PDF is read and drafted as a Tally voucher against the business's own ledgers, posted only after approval.
Bank reconciliation
Bank statements matched against the ledger line by line, with only unclear items sent to a review queue. Listed from the Business plan.
Payment reminders
Receivables ranked by party, with reminders drafted for email and WhatsApp and a ledger link the customer can open.
Team access and approvals
A login per person. On Business and above, one user proposes a posting and another approves it; every posting is logged.
Dashboard and Riko Close
Revenue, margin, cash, receivables and payables on a live dashboard, and Riko Close, a month-end checklist of what is still pending for each company.
Inventory
Stock on hand, stock ageing, and dead and slow-moving stock from the Tally inventory data.
GST (announced)
GSTR-1, GSTR-2B reconciliation and GSTR-3B are listed as "coming very soon" on every plan.
How figures are produced
"The AI writes the sentence; it never does the arithmetic"
Riko's answer to the question every finance team asks about AI is a split between calculation and language:[2][5]
- 1. Fixed queries. Every figure comes out of the Tally data through a fixed, logged query that can be replayed, so the same question asked twice returns the same number.
- 2. Traced to vouchers. Each number links back to the vouchers behind it.
- 3. Checked before display. Answers are checked against the live ledger, so an amount that doesn't match or a category that isn't in the books is caught; if Riko is unsure, it says so.
- 4. Language last. Only then does the AI model write the sentence around the figures.
Riko contrasts this with connecting a general assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude to TallyPrime, which it says leaves the arithmetic to the model with no check on the result. Riko's FAQ also states that its AI "is a combination of models trained under ICAI and NFRA guidelines"; the site does not name the models.[5]
For CA firms and auditors
Riko AI for Chartered Accountants
Riko's page for CAs opens with "Articles rotate every three years. Clients don't." Its pitch to firms is about continuity and control across the client Tally files a practice already keeps.[6]
Priced per Tally licence, not per client
Every client company on the firm's Tally licence is included. Riko's pricing FAQ answers a CA with 60 clients with the Teams plan.[6]
Articles propose, managers approve
Nothing reaches a client's Tally without a senior's approval, and the per-client audit log shows who proposed, who approved and when.[6]
Month-end for many clients on one screen
Riko Close lists which client companies are still open, bank reconciliation runs per client, and trial balance, P&L and tax ledger balances are one click per client.[6]
Knowledge stays with the firm
Riko pitches this as making a practice "system-dependent, not people-dependent": when an article rotates off a client, their work stays on the record.[6]
What Riko says it does not do
- It does not file returns. They are filed on the portal by the firm, as today.
- It does not decide an accounting treatment. Where professional judgement is needed, it surfaces the figures and exceptions and leaves the call to the CA.
- It does not post on its own. Nothing reaches a client's Tally without a person approving it, on every plan.
- It does not replace Tally. Tally stays the book of record.

Positioning
Riko AI vs Biz Analyst and Power BI
Riko publishes its own comparisons with two tools Tally users often consider: Biz Analyst, a Tally mobile app, and Microsoft Power BI. The rows below are Riko's claims, summarised from those pages, not an independent test.[7][8]
| Biz Analyst | Riko | |
|---|---|---|
| Core idea | View your Tally reports on a phone | An AI finance team that does the work |
| How insights arrive | Pull: open the app and navigate | Pushed on a schedule |
| Asking questions | Tap through menus to find a figure | Ask in plain English on app, phone or WhatsApp |
| Posting to Tally | Sales, purchase, order, receipt and payment entries from the app | Propose → approve, every posting logged |
| One person, a year | ₹3,300 | ₹5,000 (Basic) |
| Ten people, a year | ₹27,600 | ₹20,000 (Teams) |
Riko states Biz Analyst prices are one-year rates from Biz Analyst's pricing page as of 24 October 2026, before 18% GST.
| Power BI + Tally | Riko | |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | Hours to days: model, then publish | Minutes: connect Tally once |
| Learning curve | DAX and data modelling | Ask in plain language |
| Built for | BI analysts and data teams | Business owners and their finance team |
| Finance reporting | Build the model yourself | Workpacks ready out of the box |
On Tally itself, Riko's position is "Keep Tally. Lose the friction": no migration, no retraining, and plans billed yearly "like Tally itself" so they can renew alongside the Tally licence.[1][2]

FAQs
Riko AI: questions and answers
What is Riko AI?
Riko AI is AI analysis software that sits above Tally. A connector on the Windows PC running TallyPrime or Tally ERP 9 syncs the books every five minutes, and users can then ask questions, reshape 25+ reports, run MIS packs, reconcile bank statements and draft payment reminders on the web, Android, iOS or WhatsApp. It is made by NXTLVL Tech Solutions Private Limited in Mumbai.
Who makes Riko AI?
NXTLVL Tech Solutions Private Limited, based at Grant Road (East), Mumbai. Riko's About page lists three co-founders: Bhaskara Pratap Seth (GTM), Susse Chandrasekaran (Product) and Harshvardhan Vasudeva (Ops).
How much does Riko AI cost?
Plans are yearly, per Tally licence, plus 18% GST: Basic ₹5,000 (1 user), Business ₹12,000 (3 users) and Teams ₹20,000 (10 users, up to 3 Tally licences). Enterprise is priced on request. Every company on the Tally licence is included, and there is a 7-day free trial without a card. There is no monthly plan.
Does Riko AI replace Tally?
No. Riko reads a synced copy of the Tally books and writes back only entries a person approves. Tally remains the book of record, and Riko says anything it posted stays in Tally with a full log if the subscription stops.
Which Tally versions does Riko AI support?
Riko lists all versions of TallyPrime, Tally ERP 9 release 6.0 and above, TallyPrime Server multi-user setups and every company on the licence. The connector is a 75 MB installer for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11.
How is Riko AI different from asking ChatGPT about Tally data?
Riko says its AI only writes the sentence around each figure: the numbers are calculated from the Tally data through fixed queries, linked to their source vouchers and checked against the live ledger before they are shown. A general assistant given a ledger does the arithmetic itself, which Riko says can produce a confident wrong total.
Is Riko AI useful for CA firms?
Riko has a Teams plan aimed at CA firms and auditors. It is priced per Tally licence rather than per client, so all client companies on one licence are included, with 10 users, a propose-and-approve workflow for articles and managers, an audit log and Riko Close for month-end across clients. Riko states that it does not file returns or make professional judgements.
Does Riko AI file GST returns?
Not currently. GSTR-1, GSTR-2B reconciliation and GSTR-3B are listed as coming very soon on all plans, and Riko's CA page states that returns are filed on the portal by the firm.
